Social/Emotional Learning

Enables our scholars to not only participate in the CRT curriculum, but to also practice community building and repair harm circles based on the Restorative Practices framework. Restorative practices are a social science that studies how to improve and repair relationships between people and communities. The purpose is to build healthy communities, increase social capital, decrease crime and antisocial behavior, repair harm and restore relationships.

Our leadership and staff believe that diversity and multiple perspectives are our greatest assets in strengthening our scholars and our community. It is imperative that ALL children, and community members, have an opportunity to participate and share their experiences with each other in a safe, healthy, and respectful atmosphere.
